Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policy
We want you to be thrilled with your Oceanista purchase! If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help with returns and exchanges on eligible items within 15 days of delivery. Here’s what you need to know:

Eligibility: Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, with original tags and packaging, and in their original condition for approval.

Refund Process: Once your return is inspected and approved, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method within 14 days.

Shipping Costs: Original and return shipping costs are non-refundable, including for orders qualifying for free shipping (e.g., orders over $75). Oceanista may provide a return shipping label for your convenience, with the cost deducted from the refund amount.

Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee applies to all returns to cover processing costs.

Return Shipping Deadline: Items must be shipped back to Oceanista within 14 calendar days of receiving the return shipping label. Failure to comply may result in the voiding of the label and cancellation of the return request.

- Curated Beach Boxes, Subscription Boxes, One-Time Boxes, Build Your Own Beach Bundles (BYOB), Mystery Boxes, Limited Edition Boxes, Mini Curated Boxes
- Discounted Items, Sale Items, Final Sale Items, BOGO Sale Items, and Clearance
- Holiday Items and Personalized Items
- Worn swimwear (per federal law)
How to Initiate a Return
- Initiate a return by emailing returns@oceanista.com within 15 days of delivery for a Return Authorization Number (RAN).
- Package the item in its original packaging, including the packing slip and a written explanation of the return reason.
- Write the Return Authorization Number (RAN) on the outside of the package. The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed, with original tags attached and in original condition.
- Use the provided return shipping label (cost deducted from the refund). Returns mush be received within 14 days of receiving the return shipping label.
- Oceanista is not responsible for lost returns.
Returns not shipped within 14 days of receiving the return shipping label, or failed to meet criteria eligibility (unused, unworn, and unwashed, in original condition) will be returned at the customer’s expense.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. Return the item following the steps above and place a new order. Choose an exchange and earn 100 Sand Dollar Rewards worth $5.00 (redeemable on future purchases) to find the perfect fit! Shipping for new orders, including those using store credit, does not qualify for free shipping, and apparel size exchange shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.
Exchange Process:
- Email exchanges@oceanista.com within 15 days of delivery to request a Return Authorization Number (RAN).
- Write RAN on package exterior.
- Pack item in original packaging with invoice/packing slip, noting exchange reason (e.g., “size Large is too small, exchange for X-Large”). Please be clear that you would like an exchange and we will check our stock to see if we have your size available.
- Use provided return shipping label (cost deducted from store credit).
- Once return is approved, receive store credit (minus 10% restocking fee and shipping costs) within 14 days and 100 Sand Dollar Rewards® worth $5.00 will be added to your Account.
- Place new order using store credit for desired item (e.g., correct size). Shipping for new order is non-refundable. Don't forget to use your Sand Dollars® at checkout!
Damaged or Defective Items
Contact returns@oceanista.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund after inspection, with no restocking fee.
Cancellations and Order Modifications
Email cancellation or modification requests to customercare@oceanista.com as soon as possible. If the order has not yet shipped, we will do our best to accommodate your request. If the order has shipped, it cannot be canceled or modified, and the standard return policy applies.
Additional Notes
- We are not responsible for shrinkage or bleeding due to washing.
- Oceanista is not liable for any additional import taxes, duties, or customs fees incurred at the time of entry.
- After 15 days, all sales are final.
