Optimal Candle Care
Before each burn, trim your wooden wick to about 3/16 inch before lighting for a clean and smoke-free burn.
Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This reduces soot, prevents the flame from getting too large, and stops the wick from "mushrooming."
The goal is to achieve a full melt pool on the first burn. This can take anywhere from 2-4 hours so plan ahead of time. Light your candle for enough time on the first burn to allow the wax to melt across the entire diameter of the candle. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.
Before lighting up again, ensure any char on the wick is trimmed away.
Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time to keep the fragrance fresh and avoid overheating.
Stop burning when there is approximately 1/2 inch of wax remaining in the container to prevent overheating.
Let your candle solidify after extinguishing before you relight.
Sunlight or harsh indoor lighting can fade the candle's color and affect its scent throw.
Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place, while keeping the lid on to prevent dust from settling on the wax.
